You can find a link to a playlist of all the previous reviews I've done, up above me in a card. This week, we are talking Cinnamon Roll. I think this is flavor number 6 or 7 of the 8 most recent flavors that Halo Top released as of August or September 2017. If you've watched any of my other Halo Top reviews, you'll know that the reviews are broken up into three parts: the first part is about the texture. What's it feel like on my spoon? Is it tough to get out of the package? Is it chalky? Is it frosty? Is it smooth? I prefer it smooth. I want to just drag the spoon across the top and lift it right out of there without any sort of resistance.
I like a smooth ice cream. The second part of the review is the taste. The flavor. How does it taste, compared to what I'm expecting, based on the title of the flavor — in this case cinnamon roll? And the third and final part of the review is the carbs. What's it gonna do to my carb count? If I'm tracking for the day, and I'm low on my carbs, can I eat this whole pint? I'd love to. We will see. Most of these recent flavors have been higher in carbs than the other ones. . . than the older ones, so eating the entire pint hasn't really been an option for too many of these new flavors. But we'll check out Cinnamon Roll and see how we do. So let's take a look at the texture. Again, I'm starting to think there's only two or three of these. I lucked out the first few times I opened a package, because I got a different little saying each time. I've gotten "No Bowl, No Regrets" I think, four or five times. Anyway, nice touch. I like the little messaging on top. But let's see what the texture is all about. All right. Llooking pretty good. Doesn't look chalky to me, it looks like it's gonna come out of there nice and smooth. It has been sitting out, again, for about five minutes, which is usually how long I will leave it out on the counter before opening it. So it's a pretty accurate representation of what it's going to look like each and every time I have this flavor. So let us dig in, see how my spoon does as it drags across the top. It's all right. Not. . . you know, not fantastic. There's a little bit of resistance there. Ooh. Again, it's sweet. There's a definite cinnamon taste to it. I'm not sure that it's cinnamon ROLL. I'm not a big fan of cinnamon rolls in general. It does remind me a lot of Cinnamon Toast Crunch, the breakfast cereal. Kind of. . that. . . it's got sort of an artificially. . . it's got a. . . kind of a sweetness that reminds me of breakfast cereal. It's got little chunks of. . . I don't know if you can see. . . it's got kind of little chunky guys, of I assume that's. . . cinnamon chunks? I don't know what those could be. I'll look up the ingredients in a sec. So texture — a little bit tougher than I'd like. Taste is pretty good, but again, super, super-sweet like all these most recent flavors are. But not. . . not too bad. I think that initial blast of sweetness. . . I've kind of gotten used to, so maybe I'm not as sensitive to how sweet these new flavors are as I was when I first started these reviews, but all of these new flavors are pretty, pretty sweet. So texture — okay. Flavor — okay. Let's take a look at the nutrition information, at the carbs. There are 19 grams of total carbs, 3 grams of dietary fiber, 6 grams of sugar alcohols, so 10 grams of net carbs per serving. 40 big carbs in this pint if you were to eat the whole thing. This is gonna be off-limits for anyone who's sensitive to carbs, and who doesn't want to run the risk of being kicked out of ketosis. Man, that's a lot of carbs, and I don't think I like this enough to eat 40 carbs worth of it. . . worth of it. I would probably just have a serving. This is the second flavor, the first being the pumpkin pie flavor, which I adored — you can find that review right up above — the second flavor to have 40 grams of carbs per pint. I would make an exception for that Pumpkin Pie flavor. Not so much for this Cinnamon Roll. I mean, it's good, but the Cinnamon Roll is not really my cup of tea. It's fine. It's. . . you know, it's fine. I have no real issues with it, cinnamon is just not really my favorite thing in the world. But it's not bad. So let me know what you guys think of Cinnamon Roll have you had it? Where'd you get it? What's your favorite of these new flavors? If you had to rank them, what would be your top flavor of these new, kind of late-2017 Halo Top flavors? What's your favorite flavor in general? I would love to hear from you in the comments, and I'd love for you to consider subscribing — it'll really help me grow this channel. And that's gonna do it for this video. I hope that you have a fantastic day, and I will see you next time. we talk about all things ketogenic diet and keto recipes. (FARTINGSOUNDS).
