Well guys, it's been a while since I've paid a visit to my old friends Halo Top, but I saw this in the store. It's a seasonal flavor. I had to jump at it. It is Peaches and Cream. So I'm gonna check this out.

It's been a while since I've had any Halo Top. They've sort of. . . been doing some weird stuff. I used to be a big fan of Halo Top when I started keto.
It was a go-to for me, particularly their first few flavors: Lemon Cake, Chocolate, Vanilla, and Strawberry. Each of those had only 240 calories, and 20 net carbs per pint. However, they have recently tweaked their recipe, and now those flavors have 280 calories per pint, and anywhere from 24 to 28 carbs per pint. So I don't know why they did that — they're trying to cater to maybe more of a mainstream audience. A little disappointing. But I figured I'd give Peaches & Cream a go. If you've been here before, you know that I break my ice cream reviews down into four parts: first is texture — how's it feel coming out of the pint? How's it feel once I taste it? Second part is the taste — do I like the flavor? The third part is the carbs, and fourth part, recently added, is a rundown of the ingredients. So let's get into Peaches & Cream. This has been out of my freezer for approximately 20 minutes. I'm hopeful that that's gonna be enough. Looks pretty promising. There it is. See how it's a little bit melty on the sides, there? No freezer burn to be found. Oh man, that's nice. I have found, in general, is this one. . . ? Is this a dairy-free flavor. . . ? No. But I've found that Halo Top's dairy-free flavors have a much better texture, more quickly than their dairy brethren. Crazy sweet! I'm struggling to taste the peach. There's a peach chunk hiding in there, somewhere. See? There's a peach chunk. Let's see if I can taste peaches in this. They actually have chunks of peach — I'm curious to see what that actually is. Kind of little pieces of "peach". See, there's one right there. That dark orange spot. We'll see what those actually are, but taste is not too bad, once you get past the blast. I'm just not used to the blast of sweet. But the flavor ain't too bad. But let's see what we've got for nutrition, here. Serving size is 69 grams. Four servings per container. So per serving, there are 80 calories, 16 grams of carbs, 3 dietary fiber, 5 sugar alcohols. So 8 grams net carbs per serving, 32 grams of carbs per pint. Pretty high. But that's kind of what you get these days with Halo Top. There aren't many flavors anymore that allow you to — if you wanted to — down the entire pint, which is the way I prefer to eat ice cream. You know, no holds barred. So 5 grams of protein, 2 grams of fat. Let us take a look at the ingredients. Ingredients are skim milk, eggs, peaches and then in parentheses after peaches we've got (peaches, organic sugar, water organic rice starch, natural flavor, citric acid, annatto extract for color); then back to the main list of ingredients — erythritol, prebiotic fiber, milk protein concentrate, cream, organic cane sugar, peach base, and in parentheses after peach base, we've got (peaches, organic sugar, water, peach puree concentrate, citric acid, natural flavor, annatto extract for color, and turmeric extract for color). Then back to the main list of ingredients again, we've got vegetable glycerin, natural flavors, annatto extract for color, sea salt, organic carob gum, organic guar gum, organic stevia leaf extract. Hello, annatto extract! Three times listed on here. So tons of ingredients, some of which are okay. Nothing jumped out at me as terrible — I mean, organic cane sugar is about halfway through the list, so you could probably do worse, but that's the ingredients, for what it's worth. Peaches & Cream? Not too bad. If it weren't for the high calorie count, the high carb count, I would put this thing away tonight, in its entirety. However, it is a little too high in carbs; a little too high in calories for my liking. I would parse this out into maybe half the pint, put that away, put the rest in the freezer for another time. So that is my review of Peaches & Cream, Halo Top's seasonal flavor. I'm still on the hunt for that Blueberry Crumble one, that I know is out there. I think there are a couple of other new flavors that I have yet to see in the wild, but I'll keep my eyes peeled. That's Halo Top's Peaches & Cream, guys. If you've had this, let me know what you think down in the comments. I would love to hear from you. That's gonna wrap it up for this video. I hope you have a fantastic day, and I will see you next time. You make a garbage man scream!.
