How I Use My Cooked Chicken Temp Cooked Chicken Temp Thigh
– Hey guys, today on Low Carb with Jennifer we are back with my trusty air fryer and we are going to make a whole chicken in the air fryer. Yes, you can fit a whole chicken in your air fryer if you have a six quart air fryer like this one. This is a six-pound chicken, and it's gonna be perfectly cooked and juicy. I've got a delicious rub here that we're gonna put on it, so let's get started.

(upbeat music) Okay, for our rub we've got all of these delicious spices. I'm gonna mix 'em all together in this bowl, and we're gonna rub it on the chicken.
So we've got avocado oil and if you don't know, now you know. I like to use avocado oil because it does not oxidize in higher temperatures like olive oil, it oxidizes. So now we're gonna add in some thyme, dried thyme and this is dried basil. And this is a half a teaspoon of the dried thyme, the dried basil, and dried oregano and we've got a teaspoon of some smoked paprika. It's my favorite seasoning, and we've got some garlic powder here. Just gonna use my brush to get that out of there. And then salt.

I know it looks like a lot of salt but we've got a lot of chicken to season here and you want it to be perfectly seasoned. So we're gonna just stir this up and it's gonna make kind of a paste that we're gonna rub on the chicken. (upbeat music) Okay, like I said, this is a six-pound chicken. It's quite a large chicken and it is going to fit perfectly in our air fryer. So we're gonna just start painting this one with our basing brush and when we start to cook our chicken, we are gonna cook it breast-side down, and we do that mainly because in the air fryer if we have the legs sticking up, they're gonna start to get really overcooked and if you keep them down in the air fryer for the majority of the cook time, they're not gonna do that. So we're gonna rub this on, half of the rub on this part of the chicken and then we're gonna flip it over and do the other part.
(groaning) (laughs) (upbeat techno music) Okay, it's time to put this in our air fryer. I'm gonna put it in breast-side down just like that. Touch the chicken, wash your hands. Touch the chicken, wash your hands. Okay, so we're gonna cook this at, the temperature is gonna be 360 degrees. I gotta have this in there. So we're gonna cook this at 360 degrees for 50 minutes, and then after 50 minutes we're gonna flip it over and we're gonna cook it for an additional 10 minutes, but the most important thing that you have to remember is to check your meat's temperature with the meat thermometer. You're looking for about 165 degrees just to be on the safe side and that's it. That's all you have to do. Okay, our chicken is all ready, our air fryer chicken and I just wanna show you how amazing this looks. And I'm gonna pull it out of here. So we did 360 degrees Fahrenheit for 50 minutes and then we flipped it over, and that was breast-side down, and then we flipped it over and we did 15 minutes at the same temperature just to crisp up the top and so the legs don't get overcooked. That's why we did breast-side down, and it looks amazing. This is a bigger chicken. The recipe calls for a five-pound chicken, this is a six-pound chicken, so when we flipped it over we did 15 minutes. Okay, I just wanna show you how juicy this chicken breast is. Oh, look at that, it is so super juicy. I don't know if you can see that up there, but it is dripping with juices. The recipe for this air fryer chicken breast is on my blog, jenniferbanz. com.
